Coverage

We work with most major insurance plans, including Medicare. Menopause consultations, follow-up visits, and the laboratory and imaging studies we order are billed to insurance in the ordinary way — this is a medical practice, not a cash-pay membership or subscription program.

Because coverage details vary by plan, the most reliable path is simple: call the office at 858-622-7200 before your visit, and we will verify your coverage and expected out-of-pocket cost with you — before anything is scheduled.

What a first visit involves, billing-wise

The initial consultation is billed as a specialist office visit under your medical benefits. If labs, bone density testing, or thyroid ultrasound are indicated, we tell you before ordering them, and they are billed separately by the usual channels. No bundles, no memberships, no surprise line items.

Why we say this so plainly

Much of the menopause industry has moved to cash-pay subscriptions and proprietary product lines. We think evidence-based menopause care should be available through the insurance you already have — and that cost should never be the mystery that keeps you from getting evaluated.
